ORBIS provides acquisition, logistics, and engineering support to the PEO USC International Small Combatants PMS 525 Program Office for the acquisition, design, development, construction, maintenance, and sustainment of the FMS Multi-Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC) for Royal Saudi Naval Forces.
ORBIS support includes the following specific capabilities:
* Expert level programmatic and acquisition support, including Total Ownership Cost Planning, Life Cycle Sustainment Planning and Management, Modernization, and Configuration Management
* Expert level engineering and technical support in areas of:
o Planning and development for all Logistics Products and needed analyses for a new ship class
o Complete sustainment planning for shore support to include staffing with appropriate trained and certified personnel, contracting, ship repair, shore equipment and facilities, calibration labs, quality assurance labs, and Information Technology (IT) tools
o Maintenance planning to include on-board and ashore maintenance, balancing for both preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as ship availability planning over the planned life cycle of the MMSC
o Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) integration training
o Total Crew operation and maintenance training planning and course development
o New construction post-delivery support
